Out of Conflict (2017)Photography‘’Out of Conflict’’ project is a work I carried out during my travels to the Kurdistan region of Northern Iraq. During my time in cities such as Duhok, Erbil, and Sulaymaniyah, I attempted to reflect the real life of a geography that is often associated with war, conflict, and destruction. In this project, I focused on various aspects of daily life, aiming to show how people continue to live their lives under the shadow of war and the struggle they undertake to maintain some sense of normalcy. The goal of the project was not to highlight the devastation and pain caused by war, but rather to focus on the process of normalization and how people continue to live their lives despite the challenges they face.
