New Americana (2015) Photography
Emptiness, endless roads, large rocks, shops in the middle of nothingness, houses, abandoned places, suddenly changing seasons… a meander ing river that follows and flows through us and a feeling of timelessness…

The New Americana emerged after a road trip I took with my brother in 2015, which began in Austin, Texas, followed New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado and Kansas, and ended in Texas. I began this trip with a pursuit to engage in the idea of the ‘American Dream’ that I was familiar to via various media channels since I was kid. The project later evolved into an internal voyage and a discovery of newness that the landscape and its memory brought.
